The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is one of the outstanding departments at BITS Pilani, with its excellent faculty, state of the art research centres and above all, enthusiastic and inquisitive students. The EEE Group was formed by merging the then existing Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering departments in 1969-70. Prior to this, the degree programme in Electrical Engineering was started way back in 1946 when the Birla College of Engineering was established and the Master’s programme leading to the degree of M.Sc. (Tech) Electronics was offered in the year 1955. The Group has also introduced several M.E. programmes in Communication Engineering, Embedded Systems and Electrical-Power Electronics and Drives, to name a few.
The EEE Students association is an active body of the students interested in pursuiing activites in several fields related to the fields of Electrical and/or Electronics and/or Communications Engineering, like Robotics, Power Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Smart Systems, Networks etc.

Vision

The EEE Students Association strives for the conception and development of ideas, in the fields of Electrical, Electronics, Communications Engineering that would lead to the betterment of humankind. "

To achieve this we not only work with our parent organisation, the BITS Pilani EEE department and actively participate in the research going on at BITS Pilani but also independently concieve research projects. We organise workshops, lecture sessions and project discussions where we share our knowledge. We present some of our ideas at the BITS Pilani annual technological festival, APOGEE.
