My research area is Computational Mechanics. Currently, me and my students are working on computational flexible multibody dynamics (via FEM), optimal control (with application to modeling of Cancer Chemotherapy strategies) and post buckling analysis of structures modeled by geometrically nonlinear theories. I am also a member of the Product Design group here. My Phd research background enables me to tackle problems in bifurcation theory, stability, nonlinear elasticity and exploitation of symmetry in governing equation via Group theoretic techniques. My thesis was titled "A group theoretic framework for FEM analysis of Symmetric Structures" My extracurricular activities include cycling, trekking the himalayas and the western ghats, hockey and teaching children.
