Conference on Technological Advancements in Chemical and Environmental Engineering (TACEE-2012), March 23 – 24, 2012
Chemical engineering is the interdisciplinary branch that helped to develop atomic
science, polymers, paper, dyes, drugs, plastics, fertilizers, foods, petrochemicals...
pretty much everything. Chemical engineers can make processes cost effective, more
efficient and environmentally friendly. Environmental awareness is a practice of
protecting the environment, on individual or organisational level, for the benefit
of the natural environment and (or) humans. Since the 1960s activism by the environmental
movement has created awareness of the various environmental issues. Environmental
sustenance has been the area of major concern for all the sectors of industries
in the current scenario. This is a major challenge for progressive industries to
carry out various technological advancements for continual improvements through
innovation, research and development. In such a scenario, chemical and environmental
engineering play an important role to develop new and green technologies for sustainable
development of society. Waste, pollution, loss of biodiversity, introduction of
invasive species, release of genetically modified organisms and toxics are some
of the issues relating to environmental protection. The aim of the conference on
“Technological Advancements in Chemical and Environmental Engineering – 2012” is
to provide a forum for experts from industry and academia in India to exchange ideas
and present recent technological developments in chemical and environment engineering.
This conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and
experiences face to face, to establish business or research relations and to find
partners for future collaboration.
