Welcome to the new era of chip design at BITS!!!

We proudly present the lab to all the interested members of staff and students who are keen on working with the best EDA tools available in the VLSI industries and on the most reliable and secured machines by SUN Micro Systems, operating on Solaris 8. The centralized data storage capacity in Tera-bytes, the computational power of twenty Sun servers, the hot-desking facility, the flat 19" monitor screens and the campus-wide network connectivity, are just a few features of the lab in addition to the industry standard EDA tools from MAGMA, Mentor graphics and Tanner, and cadence.

Now you have access to the 180nm and 130nm technology, standard cell libraries and design kits from Toshiba, TSMC, UMC, AMIS and many more... No more constraints on design types, be it digital , analog or mixed signal and RF, FT, STA, signal; integrity, condition ,cross-talk analysis etc. or hardware , software co-verification ;you can implement your designs at each and every abstraction level of the VLSI design. Moreover, it's a dream of every designer to  get their designs actually fabricated on a chip. The OLAB gives you this opportunity. We are and once done ,we can have our own CHIPS designed by BITSIANS.

The users of OLAB get the chance to contact experts from various VLSI industries like ST- Micro, BROADCOM, Mentor, CYPRESS, WIPRO and many more, who would help them in finalizing their designs too meet industry standards. For this, we have created a forum ,where you can post your queries and get instant replies from the technical experts.

So, to access this golden opportunity, all you need to do is to contact your project guide as soon as registration process is complete. All students requiring TSMC 0.18 um design libraries should sign a
NON DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT (PDF) and submit it to their project guide. Please mention at the top of the form, the type of product you are doing, for example, is it a ZigBee project, BITS project, PHD work or the general assignment related to a course.
