Workshop on Faculty development for Technology Entrepreneurship(2007-08) was conducted on 23-24 Nov. 2007. Thirty (30) participants from various educational institutes participated. The workshop is designed to train and develop faculty members :

§   To instill entrepreneurial mindset and spirit of entrepreneurship through a calibrated and proven model of entrepreneurship development.

§   To facilitate networking of faculty to gain access to world class resources.

§   To introduce faculty to world class experiential pedagogy suitable for entrepreneurship learning.

Convention on Energizing Entrepreneurship in Academia through Innovations was jointly organized by Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) and Technology Business Incubator (TBI), BITS, Pilani. It comprise TECHNOLOGY BAZAAR that provided an opportunity to potential entrepreneurs – students, professionals, scientists and faculty members - to participate and demonstrate their innovative ideas, products and services developed individually or in groups in their institutions and learn about the process of innovation and how they can be commercialized.  Aim was to identify potentials of young mind in academia and to encourage them for entrepreneurship. Through this convention two prospective projects are identified and are expecteds to avail incubation facilities in this year.

This convention is meant for introducing the youth and young professionals in technical fields to entrepreneurship. This year, this event was held on 2-3 Nov. 2007. Thirty four (34) student teams participated in this event and presented their ideas. Various projects like Infobazar, LED lighting device, Pharma Bot, Smart Sprinklers were displayed in the TechBazaar session of this event.
