Participated in the Conference of Vice Chancellors of Deemed Universities regarding Sharing of Experiences of Deemed Universities in the field of Quality Control and Innovations in Higher Education held on 9th November, 2000 at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi organized by Ministry of Human Resource Dev., Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
Participated in the International Conference on “Policy Forum on the Management of University-Industry Relations”, held at Paris, France from 1-2 June, 2000.
Participated in the International Conference on “Higher Education for Human Development” organized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi from Feb. 22-24, 2000 and presented a paper entitled “University-Industry Linkage - A Case Study of BITS Practice School Programme”.
Participated in the World Conference on Cooperative Education at Washington D.C., USA from
5-8 July, 1999 and presented a paper on "25 Years of BITS Practice School – A Successful Strategy for Work Integrated Education”.
At the Invitation from DSE, German Foundation for International Development, attended a four month training programme (15th July, 1998 to 15th November, 1998) on Educational Economics and Educational Research. The training was mainly in the areas of Financing of Technical and Vocational Education; Indicators of Educational Systems Efficiency; Matching problems between Education and Training system and the employment system; Management of Transfer of Learning; Donor strategies in TVET systems; Issues involved in Export of Educational Systems, etc.
Delivered an invited talk at the International Conference on Engineering Education
- An Asian Perspective held at IIT, Chennai from January
12-14, 1998 and also presented a paper entitled "Twenty Five Years of BITS Practice School
- A Successful University-Industry Linkage Programme.
Attended a one day workshop on "Institute Industry Partnership
- Issues and Challenges" at Anna University, Madras on 17.10.97.
Participated in the World Congress of Engineering Educators and Industry Leaders, at UNESCO, Paris from
2-5 July, 1996 and presented a paper on "A Novel Evaluation Scheme for Practice School Courses Evolved at BITS".
