At BITS-Pilani, Dr. Chandran has been involved in First Degree and Higher Degree level teaching for various programmes like B. Pharm., M. Pharm., M. E. (Biotech), M.M.S., M. Phil. (Hospital & Health System Management) and Masters in Public Health (MPH). His scientific area of interest and research include: Design of novel drug delivery systems and technologies for ANDA; Pharmaceutical process optimization, scale-up, validation and documentation; and Design and implementation of documentation system and quality surveillance system in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
