STUDENTS VISITING ABROAD FOR PRESENTATION OF RESEARCH PAPERS AT
REPUTED
CONFERENCES / SEMINARS
Students of BITS,PILANI carried out research work at institute under the supervision of any faculty member(s) and the research paper accepted for presentation at any reputed international conferences/seminars held abroad may apply for support from the following agencies. Applications forwarded by the faculty involved, Group Leader and Dean SWD may be submitted to the office of Dean, EDD for consideration or forwarding to the external agency.

mICROSOFT RESEARCH iNDIA TRAVEL GRANT
Travel Grants are awarded by Microsoft Research Lab India (MSRI) , Banglore to students and faculty members to support cost of travel and Registration fees upto a maximum expense of USD 1500 , towards attending conferences and seminars outside India. The grant is provided only for the topics related to Computer Science areas.

BITSAA INTERNATIONAL scholarship
BITSAA International is providing travel assistanship to students who are currently pursuing the degree in any of the BITS campus.The travel period should necessarily lie in between the period of his/her study at BITS. BITSAA Travel Scholarships supports the travel expenses of students participating in academic events of International repute. 37.5% of the travel expenses is borne by BITSAA, 37.5% (upto Rs. 20,000) by BITS Pilani (if student is from Pilani Campus), and the rest 25% has to be raised by the student. If you wish to apply for the BITSAA Travel Grants, you need to submit the application in the prescribed forms to the faculty incharge Prof AryaKumar , ED & IPR.

CSIR TRAVEL GRANTS
CSIR has a scheme for providing partial travel assistance to any deserving bright students of academic or research institution in India for participating in Conferences, Symposia, etc. held abroad. His/her paper should have been accepted for presentation. A copy of the full paper along with an abstract and letter of acceptance from the organizer must be appended with the application.The theme of the Conference should invariably be related to the thrust areas/activities of the CSIR laboratories.
The application forms can be forwarded through EDD office to the external agency.

RATAN TATA FOUNDATION
Travel grants are provided to students proceeding for post-graduate and doctoral studies, or to attend relevant and meaningful seminars and conferences abroad by RATAN TATA FOUNDATION. The grant consists of only a partial international airfare from India to the university / organisation abroad.The last date for applying to the Trust is May 31 every year. Students proceeding abroad during other times of the year are requested to contact the Trust three to four months before their departure
A travel grant application can be made with the following documents
- A written application from the student / professional
- Statement of purpose
- Updated resume
- In case of students, confirmed admission letter from the university abroad, stating details of admission (no email accepted)
