IN RETROSPECT

MATRIX is proud to introduce `In Retrospect'- an educated appreciation of some of the individuals, ideas and milestone events that altered the course of the history of the sciences, the humanities, technology.. life itself.

The primary objective of this activity is to flesh out some sketchy figures that we had (probably) read about in a school text book or heard mentioned in passing by someone as, perhaps, a `father-of-such-and-such. to illuminate some of the landmark inventions, discoveries and ideas that we have pushed to the recesses of our minds as unimportant to our present aspirations, but which have molded our vision and changed our world.. To try and peek into the minds and lives of the pioneers - some feted by history and others forgotten - who have contributed to our understanding and application of various disciplines: Giants on whose shoulders we ride!
