CLP | Health | Public Awareness | Resource Optimisation | School | Umang Welcome to NSS, BITS Pilani BITS Pilani has a long tradition of community services record and the National Service Scheme (NSS) is one such unit introduced in 1969 by the Institute. During the last few decades the NSS volunteers have worked for the campus community and in the surrounding villages and helped the villagers in many ways. The NSS has adopted a few nearby villages, which provide live laboratories. It aims at developing amongst students a sense of participation in nation building through social work. This Unit has both on-Campus as well as off-Campus activities. NSS BITS is driven by a dedicated workforce of student and faculty volunteers. These volunteers actively involve themselves in social development activities. Over and above involving themselves in social activities, the students proactively indulge in developing and implementing small projects villages. Not only this, they also try to broaden the applications of engineering technologies to socially relevant areas. In their efforts they are amply supported by an active group of BITS faculty members.
