OASIS 2009 at BITS Pilani

 

IMS Ghaziabad bagged this year’s Oasis Championship Trophy 2009. The trophy was presented at a glittering valedictory function at BITS Pilani auditorium on Saturday 31 October 2009 by the Chief Guest, Mr Jaiveer Srivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, Hindustan Presap Ltd, Delhi in the presence of Deans Prof Natarajan and Prof N V M Rao of BITS Pilani and other faculty members,  participants and students.

 

 Oasis 2009 brought together several events which include  Music, Dance, Fashion shows, Dramas, Quiz, Literary Events, Painting, Photography, Rock Competitions and Fun Games. Over 6000 students which include 1400 outstation participants representing 70 colleges from various states of country got together for mind boggling fun and entertainment and high energy games lasting five days.

 On 28th, Mr Sunil Pal, winner of Great Indian Laughter Challenge participated in the Hasya Kavi Sammelan. The English Band – Rainbow Bridge, Chennai and the team Shankar Ehsaan Loy presented music shows on 29th and 30th respectively.

 Oasis 2009 has tied up with several cultural organizations including Thespo Drama Group of Mumbai, Glitz Modeling, Delhi and Shiamak Davar’s  Institute of Performing Arts, Delhi . Oasis winners got entry to participate in forthcoming national events hosted by these organizations.
