American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a membership organization recognized globally for its leadership in providing the engineering community with technical content and a forum for information exchange. This renowned engineering society, founded in 1880, focuses on mechanical engineering & allied sciences. ASME serves a wide-ranging technical community of more than 127,000 mechanical engineers and allied professionals including 20,000 student members from around the world. It comprises of about 220 sections and more than 480 student sections worldwide.
The ASME Student Section of BITS-Pilani was established in September, 2008 to provide engineering students the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the technical world, showcase their talent and network with professionals and other student members from all over the world. Currently comprising of 160 student members the section works under the able guidance of our Faculty Advisor Prof. Ravi Prakash and Faculty Co-Advisor Mr. J.S Rathore.
