A Quizzical Smile

I am a queer person;
strangers are my thoughts.
I saw her across the street,
a quaintly beautiful girl in shorts.
She was adorned by God himself;
then I lost her sight.
I quailed seeing her again;
I quaffed a lot that night.
My mind was out on the streets,
when I was in her quarantine.
I lay on my bed whole day;
with my quill pen and a clear screen.
My hands quivered with emotions;
as I wrote down my quandary.
I cooked quixotic perfect plans;
made her my soul and solidary.
I quelled all my feelings
and went out one day.
I sank in my mind’s quicksand;
when I saw her standing on the quay.
I quenched my anxiety;
I quelled my quagmire;
I faded away all my qualms;
I decided to touch the livewire.
