This course aims to impart the required industry-oriented skillset to the learners to make them ready for engagement in Industries like Oil & Gas, Petroleum Refineries, Petrochemical and other Processes. This course is a good blend of a recap of Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass transfer concepts, Conduction, Convection, and their relevant practical applications.It includes the detailed design of Distillation Columns under different operating conditions. This course is further enriched with the inclusion of the Mechanical Design of Process Equipment and the Simulation of Chemical Processes using the software. Recall, understand & demonstrate the thermal engineering concepts in Oil & Gas Industry and other Chemical Process Industries

Explain and design the Distillation Column.

Analyse & compare the thermal design of various heat exchangers based on international standards and perform their thermal design for a given process requirement.

Implement the mechanical design methodology and perform the mechanical design of process equipment and comply with the international codes and standards.

Perform the chemical process using process simulation software.
