The Darkness

When will this darkness go?
Of humanity, the greatest foe,
Never did we hear or know,
The waves of pandemic in a row.
People are in anxiety and fear,
Some shed incessant tear,
By losing family member,
The most near and dear.
Some lost their job,
And some started to rob,
Some participated in the mob,
And some became useless slob.
The employees are in distress,
And the administrators are to repress;
The students are in tension and stress,
Whose parents worry about their success?
The teachers are on their toes,
To prepare for their online shows,
And strive hard to make questions,
For exams – open book and close.
The sellers are at heavy loss,
For not able to open their shops,
During lockdowns and curfews,
