stage show. Amelia and Ben were sitting near the campfire when everyone else was
practicing. They didn’t participate in any of the contests as they missed Emily too much and
had still not gotten over that incident. They heard a mumbling voice from the dining hall.
They ignored it thinking they must’ve heard something wrong. After this, they heard a vase
fall over to the floor and crack. They rushed into the dining hall and saw broken CCTVs and
muddy footprints on the floor. They called the security immediately. The police arrived at the
camp head’s call and investigated the whole scene. There was no sign of any casualty within
a 5 mile radius and they declared it safe stating that the vase could’ve broken after being hit
by a dog or a cat and footsteps could be of any faculty member. The investigation ended and
the camp resumed.
It was the night for the final stage show. Amelia and Ben were heading into the stage hall
when they heard someone calling out their names from behind. They turned back and it was
Emily. They were overwhelmed after seeing her and ran towards her for a group hug. She
said, “How could I miss the chance to perform our act with my two best friends?” The three
of them shared a group hug and then went to the event host to convince him for their
last-minute entry. He agreed and they were informed to reach the dressing rooms
immediately. The three of them got dressed for their act and headed backstage to wait for
their turn. Even though they didn’t win, performing together was more than enough to make
them happy and make them forget about all their traumas for a few moments. The camp
ended the other day and the students had started leaving with their parents. Amelia and Ben
stayed till evening to spend more time with Emily before her parents arrived. Emily told them
about the hotel she was staying at and they went there to hang out till the evening. While they
were in Emily’s room, they talked about all the beautiful memories of their childhood. It was
a wonderful day as the three friends were finally smiling wholeheartedly after a very long
time. After some time, Emily went into the washroom for a few minutes. Amelia and Ben
were discussing how beautifully Emily had grown and how much they missed her over the
years. As they talked, Ben said, “Not only has she grown as a person, she has also picked up
a lot of hobbies such as the one where she loves collecting ancient artefacts.” “What
artefacts?” asked Amelia. “The vases, the coins and ancient knives she had in her backpack. I
didn’t mean to sneak but her bag had fallen on the ground when you two hugged and I
couldn’t help but notice.” said Ben. Amelia felt as if something was wrong and immediately
asked Ben to show her the bag. Ben pointed at a brown handbag kept on the chair near the
door. Amelia went to the chair and as she opened the bag, she shouted “Ben, run!” She started
running with Ben and reached the reception. Emily came running like a psychopath and
attacked them with a vase kept in the hotel lobby. The guards pushed her away and
handcuffed her, after which she was taken to the nearest police station.
“What happened there? Amelia, tell me right now or I will literally lose my mind over
everything”, said a disturbed Ben, sitting in a car as Amelia’s parents took them home. “Do
you remember the night we saw Ms. Evelyn’s murder? I was the one who peeped through the
key hole and I saw a particularly unique dagger in the murder’s hands”, said Amelia.
“When you told me about Emily’s new hobby, I was shocked because whenever Emily came
to my house to play, she used to ask me to hide all sharp objects as she was scared of them”,
she continued. “I don’t like where this is going”, said a shivering Ben. “What you are
thinking is right, I saw that very same dagger with which Ms. Evelyn was murdered in
Emily’s bag”, said Amelia. Ben was frightened, so was Amelia but one thing that provided
