DAMINI: So now, this is my fault that you arrived late and now we must cross this forest in
the dark. You have no time for home, it is also my fault. I am taking the whole responsibility
of managing the house, which is also my fault. You know what? Marrying you was my fault
and I am paying the price for it.

ROHIT: (Looks at Damini.) You are the reason for me being at the office for so long. The
only peace left in my life is during office time. You have made life difficult for me.

DAMINI: (Screaming.) Look at the road. Deer.

(Rohit went haywire and steered to the right, but the car lost control and it rammed into a
tree. The glass broke into pieces and splashed on his face.)

(He walks up to Damini and stands in front of her. Damini stands and hugs him tightly.)

ROHIT: Are you fine Damini? (Kisses her forehead)

DAMINI: (Starts crying and points to the car) look there . (Shrieky voice) Can you see our
bodies? We are not alive now.

(Rohit fell on his knee and started crying, in despair and disbelief. Both start to cry looking at
each other.)

DAMINI: (Holding the tears and cleaning them with her hand.) I am also going through the
same thing. I understand your emotions, after knowing that we are not alive, I cried a lot. But
after some time the emotions settled, and I realized that what happened cannot be undone. We
cannot go back in time to change it, so we must accept this and there is nothing we can do
about it.

ROHIT: I cannot believe this. Am I having a bad dream? How is this possible? (Rohit starts
to slap himself)

DAMINI: Do not do it. You will hurt yourself. Please, sit down . (Rohit and Damini both sit
down. Rohit is still sobbing.)

DAMINI: I always wondered, what happens after death. I used to think that we are born
again and are part of a cycle. Well, that could transcend time, place, and species. What about
you?

ROHIT: How can you be so oblivious? Are you even acknowledging the fact that we are
dead and will never be able to go back to our lives? You are behaving as if nothing has
changed.

DAMINI: Rohit, the fact of the hour is that we are not alive anymore. We are not even sure
about the time we have left with one another. It makes no sense to repent the loss of life after
being dead. We have been going through a rough patch and I think we should make the most
of the time we have in our hands.

ROHIT: (Starts crying.) I never thought that life would end like this. So suddenly, it has gone
in a snap.
