Attack of the Cumulonimbus

As the skies darkened in peak summer
And the heavens prepared their finest drummers
The mighty Cumulonimbus loomed over the horizon
Seeking to wreak havoc upon the mother of Titans
The rain attacked without any warning
It did not care for the elder or younglings
Caught unaware in the guise of heat
They began their immediate retreat.
The baked earth heaved a sigh of relief
Upon the blessings from heaven’s chief
The mangoes relished the surprise visit
The dry wells regained life every minute
The heavenly warriors ran out of strength,
And their surprise attack soon came to an end.
The earthlings prepared for the backup squad
As Sergeant Monsoon was summoned to the war.
