We sat under a thousand stars,
Which dimly lit the purple sky,

As you placed your head on my beating heart

And began to cry.

Troubled, I took you into my arms,

Wiped your tears and looked into your eyes,

In the silence of the night,
As you stared back into mine.

You seek love so desperately,
So do I.

You can't find it anywhere with anyone,

Neither can I.

As you looked into my eyes

All I understood

Was that you finally found it,

Somewhere with someone.
So did I.
