Prof. Shibani Khanra Jha is Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani. She completed her PhD and postgraduate degree from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering and B.E. in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Her research area is water, environment and energy more specifically multiphase flow in subsurface, groundwater flow and contamination, geothermal energy, geophysical methods of electrical resistivity technique. At present, she is Faculty-In-Charge of the Teaching Learning Center (TLC), BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus and actively engaged in development of TLC, organizing and coordinating workshops, webinars, training and FDPs. She holds lifetime memberships of Institute of Engineers India (IEI), International Association for Water, Environment, Energy and Society (IAWEES) and Women in Geothermal (WING) by Geothermal Resource Council. She acts as an external member of the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) for the Ph.D. evaluations for Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab. She has delivered invited lectures, chaired the technical sessions and was also associated as technical committee member in the international conferences. She had served in various capacities for Departmental Committee for Academics (DCA), Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), Academic Counselling Cell (ACC), Student Faculty Council (SFC), Library Advisory Committee, Departmental Research Committee (DRC), Doctoral Advisory Committee (DAC) and Hydraulic and Fluid Mechanics Laboratory.
