It partners with universities, corporates, NGOs and government to expand access to world-class technical and skill driven education.
With the NEP 2020 guidelines already in place to revolutionise & restructure the higher education ecosystem with emphasis on holistic & multidisciplinary learning, the education system is gradually undergoing a transition from rote learning to skill acquisition. In this era of new beginnings in education system, L&T EduTech is all poised with a vision to empower the youth with right skill set to meet the rapidly changing needs of the employers
Mrs. M.F.Febin, is a Civil Engineer with post-graduation in Structural Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. She started her professional career in Larsen & Toubro as the first lady PGET (Post Graduate Engineer Trainee) in the year 1994 and have been with L&T – Construction Division for over 25 years.
She began as a design engineer in EDRC (Engineering Design & Research Centre) of L&T Construction and responsible for designing some of the prestigious projects like exhibition centers at Hyderabad & Mauritius, cement plant buildings, institutional buildings, office buildings etc. She also has a registered design patent for junction nodes of structural steel barrel vault shaped roof at HITEX, Hyderabad which was the first for L&T Construction and copyrights in design automation.
She has been awarded with the “Women Engineer-2008” from Institution of Engineers, “Success Story Contest” by L&T for the initiatives taken and delivering results in EDRC. She also won the prize for innovative steel design from INSDAG. She is also a Qualified “Lead Auditor” for ISO 9001 related to Quality Management System. After 15 years in design, Mrs. M.F. Febin moved to Business Unit in 2009 for spearheading the Defence Construction business and rose to head the Defence construction segment – again a first.
She was instrumental in bringing about prestigious and first of its kind projects in Defence construction and has a vast network of Defence personnel across the country and abroad. The inflow of orders led to the formation of the Defence construction business vertical in L&T.
She is currently heading the CollegeConnect Business at L&T EduTech, the new academic initiative from L&T aimed at bridging Industry-Academia gap and upskilling to enhance employability. She was instrumental in building partnerships and collaborating with the premiere academic institutions of the country like AICTE, IIT Madras, Anna University & many more. Ultimately, her success in partnering with 45+ institutions in a short span is a testament to her excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
