Prof. Kumar has done his PhD in English from Drew University, New Jersey, USA in 2011 and has taught various courses in writing and research and also on cultural studies. He has extensive experience in guiding and mentoring students- both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Currently he is associated with the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus since 2012. Here he teaches courses such as Popular Literature and Culture of South Asia, Comparative Indian Literature among many. His research interests include Transnational and Global Literature, Postcolonial Theory and Literature, and Academic Writing. In BITS, he has held various teaching and administrative positions. He has published extensively on culture, literature and society in reputed journals and as book chapters. Besides his professional commitments, in his personal time he likes to travel and cook.
