Thank you Cooper
Arya Bhattacharyya 2016A7PS0068P
They call you an animal,
But I see myself in you.
Loving, caring, non-judgemental
You are really sentimental
My life is incomplete without you
I come to you in my times of pain
That silly little grin on your face,
Throws my pain down the drain.
You alone listen to all my problems
And though you don’t speak the answer out,
Your bark makes things easy
Day in and day out.
With you, I never feel lonely
Your precious snoring
Is something
I can’t help adoring!
You are one heck of a foodie
But I really couldn’t give you that smoothie
Because it contains chocolate
And you would’ve met an untimely fate.
I kept your name Cooper
Because you are one heck of a woofer.
At times I like to dress you
Like a star ship trooper
You made me understand that
Life isn’t that bad
There is much left to live for
If your heart is simple as a dog’s
I learnt to find joy in the little things
It is as if you taught that
Big and little are constructs of mind
And every little thing can be equally kind!
You are called a golden retriever
But while you didn’t retrieve gold,
You sure made my heart bold
And retrieved a lot of happiness!
