Silhouette
Challapilla Satya Praneet 2017A8PS0428P
I close my eyes and a silhouette I see
He says, “My master, please let me free”
I look at him paralysed with doubt and fear
And ask him, “Why art thou here?”
He replies, “I'm none but thine own silhouette
I ain't a stranger, not the first we've met
You don't know me, tell me not
I'm your inner voice, your thought”
“I'm here to tell you who you are
Don't tarry for your destination is quite far
the worst mirage is that of pain
just like clouds, don't let your eyes rain”
“Time and people change just in stance
Life's about choice, not just chance
Live, let live and be just you
And now I know you realise it too”
The silhouette saying this faded away
It faded away, showing me the way
With my eyelids shut, I see the skies
With old body and a new mind, I open my eyes...
