Your bag always has extra biscuits for little kids. You always are on everyone’s emergency
               contact” Kabir replies

“Is that a good thing?” I wonder
“Okay. Let’s do it this way. What are you currently worried about?”

“Um,” I think, “The war, children, women, families. my parents. My loneliness. Next month’s

EMI. Tomorrow’s work at the office. What to cook for the coming week. The economy. The
environment. The starving. The sick. The ailing”. I reply

“What can you do about it?” He asks
“I can’t solve everything. There’s too much suffering in the world. I don’t have the energy,

money and capacity to solve it all. I just am constantly stuck in conflicts trying to understand

which part to save.” I say
“See that’s what Meera. You can’t just stop living. I know it’s very difficult and meaningless

to live in a world like this. But we can try to simplify it” He replies
               “How?”

“Okay. This paper. Let me title it”
“KABIR AND MEERA’S LIST ON HOW TO BUILD A LIFE WHEN THE WORLD

               BURNS” I read out aloud

“Yes. Let’s list down things which help us survive in chaos” Kabir says
“Okay. Let me go first ``I say and start writing.

KABIR AND MEERA’S LIST ON HOW TO BUILD A LIFE WHEN THE WORLD BURNS

“Wow, Meera. That’s nice but start with something about yourself too. Charity begins at home”

He says and starts adding to the list
