They sat on the sofa and talked for hours. The hurt, the pain and the joy of reconciling. In the
end Reva thought to herself, “Unlike stories, human conflict doesn’t have a proper beginning,
middle and an end. Acceptance is a reminder that things can get better if we let them unfold.
To live in the past is to live in pain and not allow room for the present and the future.” Leena
hurriedly went to the kitchen and brought out a slice of pie. As Reva bit into it, she went down
the memory lane of her childhood. Memories of her and her mother baking pies washed over
her. She felt like she was home at last. The sun set as Leena and Reva sat on the porch giggling
and discussing baby names.
