they took all the gems in the raft and sat in the raft.
After a few days roaming only in the sea, they were very hungry and thirsty. They found a ship

which passed from them. They are screaming for help. The ship came close to them and took
them. Finally, they returned to Baghdad

In Baghdad there lived a poor potter named Hindbad during the time of Caliph Harun al-Rashid.

He used to go round the whole city carrying utensils on his head.
One day Hindbad stopped to rest in the wealthy area of the city. He was sweaty and exhausted.

He took off his burden and placed it on the ground, then a beautiful palace appeared in front of

him. When Hindbad asked a passerby about him, he said, “This is the palace of Sindbad, the
great sailor, who is very rich.”

Hindbad became jealous of his wealth and palace. He thought for a while, then said annoyedly
to himself, “Some people are so lucky. He has the wealth of the whole world. These people

don’t do any work. They get the property of their father and grandfather and they sit and eat
with pleasure all their life. But people like me are not able to do anything even after working

day and night.” He was still upset that a servant came out of the palace and said, “Please come

inside. The owner wants to meet you.”
Hearing this, Hindbad got scared. He thought that Sindbad had not listened to him. Hindbad

was sure that now he was going to be punished.
He went with the servant to the palace, where an old man was sitting. He welcomed Hindbad

and asked him to sit in front of the dining table, on which food and wine were kept. He said,

“Friend, I am Sindbad. I have listened to you. But I want to tell you that I have earned this
wealth by working hard and taking risks. I want to tell you about the exciting phases in my

life.”
Hindbad was shocked to hear this. He thought that the rich man would treat him badly, but he

turned out to be a very good-natured man. He asked Hindbad to have food. Hindbad had never

eaten such delicious food in life. After this, when he sat down comfortably, Sindbad started
telling him the tales of his life.

After first journey he was very excited to see other places also speaks he started his second
journey to (name of place)
