SETTING
Two players are sitting in the locker room. There is silence in the room. Behind there is a TV
switched on with the match on it.

BEGIN.
Commentator 1: … with Barcelona FC having one of the most bizarre matches today. Rarely
do you see two teammates arguing this much for the penalty kick and never had it been
brought down to a fist fight. This team would need a special show today to turn down this 3-0
deficit with their two players already being sent off. Your thoughts on this Jim?

Commentator 2 (Jim): Biggest worry for Barcelona is that their club captain, Xavi, under
whom the team were flying with success, is missing from the squad as he had to be rushed to
the hospital yesterday compounding their worries. Now let’s go to the analysis team
with…….

The Sound of the television is inaudible due to the heavy chattering of the team coming back
from the field. Players begin to take their seat. The Head Coach takes a look at the team and
starts discussing with his assistant coach. After some time, when all the room has settled.

Coach: What the hell happened out there today? Sanchez and Villa, care to explain what
brought you down to holding each other’s neck during the game. You are teammates, for
God’s Sake.(Stares intensely at both the players) Which one of us instructed you to be having
a rugby match out there.

(Light Chuckle takes place in the room)

Coach: What are you all laughing at? At least these two showed some passion all be it for
wrong reasons. But what are you all laughing at? Huh? (Pointing at the dummy cutouts)
These cutouts would have been putting out a similar performance. At least they would have
the excuse of not having a pulse! What excuse do you all have? Where’s your vice-captain,
Iniesta?
