               SETTING

Debbie’s bedroom. The room is a mess except for the bed and a corner of the room which has
camera equipment, lighting and a computer set up on a desk. Debbie has been rewinding a
single forty second clip on her laptop for the last thirty minutes and Sue is watching her. She
has a package for Debbie in her hand.

               BEGIN.

Sue: So, why weren’t you at the party?

               Debbie: Um, I was busy.

Sue: I postponed the entire thing just so you could be there.

Debbie: (she rewinds the same tape yet again) I did tell you not to do that.

Sue: Would you please grace me with five minutes of your valuable time.

Debbie: (rolls her eyes at her screen and turns around) what?

               Sue: What is your problem?

Debbie: My problem? What did I do?
Sue: I postponed it for you and you didn’t even have the decency to tell me you weren’t
               coming.

Debbie: Sue, come on. I told you I might be busy. What’s the big deal? It’s just a party.

Sue: You said you'd try to make it if I put it off.

Debbie: I also remember telling you that you should go ahead with it. I remember saying
“Sue, don't fuss. I really don't mind. Missing one party isn't going to kill me.” And I still
stand by it. It’s just a party.

Sue: D, I wanted my best friend there. I didn't want to host a party without her. I barely get to
see you nowadays. Can’t you just take a break for a while?

Debbie: You know I can’t do that. The editing alone will take hours. And I haven’t even shot
               the thing yet.
