Prisoner: He asks if you would pay us to let you die. I told him you have nothing.
Wayne: Do it for pleasure.
Prisoner: They pay me more than that to keep you alive.
He points toward a man who will try the climb now and puts ropes around his waist and all
prisoners scream in a language unknown to Bruce.
Prisoner: He will try the climb.
Wayne: Has anyone made it?
Prisoner: Of course not.
The Blind Prisoner barks at him.
Wayne: What does he say?
Prisoner: He says there is one who did. A child...
Prisoner: A child who had been born in this hell...
Wayne: Bane.
Prisoner
An old legend. Nothing more.
Wayne rolls off his cot. Grunts. The Prisoner realises Wayne is trying to do a push-up. From
the next cell, the Blind Prisoner says something...
Prisoner: He says you must first straighten your back.
The Prisoner pulls, Wayne screams in pain as he is pulled upright. The Prisoner ties him off.
Checks his spine.
Prisoner: You have a protruding vertebra...I’m going to force it back...
Wayne: How -?
The Prisoner punches Wayne in the back, hard. Wayne screams.
Prisoner: You stay like this. Until you stand.
Wayne passes out from the pain and FADE TO BLACK.
After some days. The Prisoner unties the rope from Wayne’s chest as he stands. Wayne does
push-ups and starts building himself.
Prisoner: Why build yourself?
Wayne: I’m not meant to die in here
Prisoner: Here? There? What’s the difference?
Wayne goes to the wall, takes rope from the tattooed prisoner and tries for the climb and after
reaching the jumping obstacle, he falls and longing being cached by the rope strikes hard on
the wall. He does this several times and sometimes falls halfway or in-between and hits hard.
And his hope twinges’ he gets sad
