years. He is Avika’s best friend but for some reason, he is not liked by Vivek.

Mr. Chopra: An army man who has worked under Vivek in the past
Terrorists 1&2: Invading Kashmir to free their leader

Doctor: Comes with the rescue team

               SETTING

They are in the beautiful Kashmir valley. It’s 6:00 p.m. on a spring evening. Vijay has come
for his routine walk in the grand central park. The park is surrounded by lush green hills that
cover the periphery of a beautiful lake. Just by the lake is a path that runs along the lake and
has beautiful street lamps and heritage antique benches? On the other side of the path is the
park, where trees are blooming with cherry blossoms and cuckoos can be heard as they sing
and celebrate the beautiful evening. The cool breeze creates ripples in the lake as it flows
from the lake to the garden and makes the cherry blossoms shower on the grass. The place is
flooded with people who are walking, having a picnic, riding the swings etc. The park is a
grand tourist attraction and has food stalls and local shops at one end. Avika has come to
accompany her grandfather in his evening walk as she plays fetch with Roger in the park.
Vijay is sitting on a bench, watching over the lake and remembering his army days.
               BEGIN.

Vijay: Avika, sweetheart, come on, it’s time to go home!

Avika: Just 10 more minutes please Grandpa, Roger is trying to make his longest leap.

Vivek (to himself, lighting a cigar): For God’s sake! I don't know what they see in this
animal. I should've thrown him out the day they took him in. I can never trust these animals,
especially after what happened with Trishna’s son. Oh my poor daughter! She lost her baby to
               a dog bite, how unfair!

Avika (comes towards Vivek, running): You should have seen it grandpa! Roger made the
longest leap from the last bench to the edge of the lake.

Avika(To Roger, patting on his head): Well done ! Someone’s getting an extra treat today.
