Captain: Great! Then I will simply keep him for fourteen minutes.
(Both pissed off and leave the room)
Captain: I told you to not lie, what were you thinking?!
Interrogator: I believed it might work and that I wished to be the one that got him.
Captain: Is it all concerning your ego?
(The interrogator becomes serious and thinks for a minute and then rushes to the room and
locking from inside)
Interrogator: I have something to ask you?
Karan: You merely got eight minutes.
Interrogator: All right, then let me paint a picture… David, a thriving dentist, who has
become addicted to Amethocaine, a sedative, he takes because he’s a junkie scum. Also, for
real, addiction is a disease. If you hadn't killed a man, I would be completely sympathetic. So,
one day he was working late when his boss Mukul surprised him. He found out David was
stealing meds… again, junkie scum… also again, not your fault. There’s a major genetic
component to addiction. He claims that he will file a police complaint. David could lose his
license. They fought, and as Mukul was irritating him, he grabbed the first thing he could
find, and ended him.
Karan: (ashen faced) what is the point of all this hypothetical garbage?
Interrogator: I’ll get there.
Interrogator: The room has six of those heavy-looking glass tools. According to the forensic
report, one is missing. What happened to the sixth tool? You lost all control and you
bludgeoned him to death. There should be blood everywhere, however, you were lucky. You
were within the operation theatre; it is often sterilized. You wouldn’t have gotten away with it
in your carpeted workplace.
David: (shrieked) that is not what had happened.
Karan: (instantly) do not say anything, David.
Interrogator: And your secretary, Isha would have heard the screams however she was at her
anniversary party. Lucky once more.
David: (fumbling) you are wrong.
Interrogator: (undeterred speaking fast) you placed Mukul’s body into a chair and shoved it in
the elevator. It is a miracle there wasn't blood everywhere.
David: (shouting) that is not true.
