Vivek: Whatever! Now, please tie him up in his leash and start walking Avika, you know I
love you the most, it’s him I can’t tolerate.
Avika: Roger has always been my best friend grandpa, if you love me, you have to love him
too.
Vivek: Fine! Let’s just start walking, I will buy you some tasty waffles on the way.
Avika (With a sad tone and emotional eyes): What about Roger, grandpa? He is also hungry!
Vivek: Only if he behaves!
---------------They start walking on the path towards the food stalls near the back gate of the
park when they are intercepted by Mr. Chopra, who then walks along with them to the
WAFFLE HOUSE, Avika’s favourite food stall in the park -------------
Mr. Chopra: Namaste Vivek Sir! The man that can never grow out of a habit, you are never
going to lose that army discipline, are you? (Mr. Chopra and Vivek chuckle) Is this Avika, sir?
Vivek: Yes Mr. Chopra. She’s growing up so fast, sometimes I feel like if only there was a
way I could slow time and never let her become an adult!
Mr. Chopra: I can totally relate sir, grand-daughters rule the hearts of grandfathers like us
who were always away fighting those monsters, stopping them from maligning our sacred
land, while our children grew up. (Sighs) And who is this furry fellow? (Pats on Roger’s
head)
Vivek: Just a stupid do-
Avika (interrupting Vivek): He’s Roger, my best friend since I was just three.
Mr. Chopra: Oh wow Avika! Your best friend looks adorable.
Vivek: Don’t flatter them too much Mr. Chopra, he can get really annoying sometimes. Very
well, Avika you stay here with your dog, while I and Mr. Chopra go in and bring those
waffles.
-------- Vivek and Mr. Chopra go towards the food stalls while Avika and Roger wait near
Lake Front as dogs weren’t allowed near food stalls------
Vivek: What else is going on these days, Mr. Chopra? Any news on the recent attack at Base-
12? Was any breach reported?
Mr. Chopra: It’s hard to say sir, there is too much political pressure due to elections that all
details have been kept hidden. We can only pray that no terrorist crossed the gates before they
were rebuilt.
Vivek: That’s disheartening, I shall write a strong letter to the current Chief. We cannot afford
another attack now.
Mr. Chopra: That would actually help sir. (Points towards the stalls) that’s the waffle one I
believe.
