VDAT-2023

VLSI Design & Test Symposium (VDAT) promotes research and development in various fields of VLSI Design. VDAT began as a small workshop in the year 1998, and in 2005 it acquired the status of an international symposium. The 27th International Symposium on VLSI Design and Test (VDAT-2023) will be jointly hosted by Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, and CSIR - Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CEERI), Pilani in the month of September at Pilani, Rajasthan, India. This symposium aims to bring Industries, Academics, Researchers, Startups, MSMEs, and related practitioners together to exchange their ideas for leveraging in their respective fields. The VLSI Society of India, leading institutes and industries actively support the symposium.

BITS Pilani

BITS Pilani is a Deemed to be University that is also an institution of Eminence. BITS was established in the year 1964 as a Deemed to be University by amalgamating pre-exisiting Birla Colleges of Engineering, Science, Arts, Commerce and Pharmacy. It has been recongnized as an Institution of Eminence by Government of India. BITS university features a total of five campuses namely Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad, Dubai and Mumbai. It has been consistently ranked as the top private university in India by various ranking agencies. Electrical & Electronics Engineering departments of BITS campuses offer high quality Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Programmes.

BITS-Pilani has been ranked 801-1000 by THE (world-2023) ; ranked 175 by QS (Asia-2023). The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department has been ranked 301-350 by QS (world-2022) subject ranking.

CSIR-CEERI PILANI

CSIR-CEERI, Pilani is a National Laboratory in the field of Electronics Engineering under the council of Scientific and Industrial Research, established in the year 1953. It has various research divisions in areas across semiconductor technology, VLSI, electronics systems and Microwave Tubes. CSIR-CEERI, Pilani has a number of firsts to its credit in the field of advanced indigenous electronics technology development. CSIR-CEERI, Pilani has also been the pioneer in the field of semiconductor technology in the country. It has been a resource centre in all the phases of SMDP programme of MeitY/DoE and has also been the programme coordinating institute for SMDP-C2SD.

BITS and CSIR-CEERI, Pilani collaborated to give India its first Master's Degree program in VLSI Design and Microelectronics in the year 1989 and have an active research collaboration.
