Birla Science, Museum

Birla Science Museum is the first Science and Technology Museum of the Country, established in 1954 and shifted to its specially designed building in 1965. It houses Exhibits and Displays on Science and Technology where visitors can interact with the Exhibits to make the understanding of Science and Technology easy and entertaining.

Shiv Ganga Pilani

Located centrally in Vidya Vihar Campus, Shiv Ganga is a place that offers spiritual communion with nature. It consists of an ornamental 400 yards circular canal which is 40’ wide and 6’deep except at the diving board where the depth is 9’. This canal encircles the grand statue of Lord Shiva in the sitting posture. There is a victorian cottage in the centre with rooms for the guests. Surajgarh Fort, Surajgarh

Thakur Suraj Mal (1768-1787) built the Surajgarh Fort in 1778. Born in 1755, he was a valiant warrior and lived a prosperous reign, with his life ending in the Battle of Tunga in 1787, against the Marathas led by Mahadji Scindhia. The great antiquity of the Kangra family is undoubted. The first historic reference to Kangra/Jhalandhara is found in the works of Ptolemy – the Greek Geographer who accompanied Alexander on his expeditions.

Hawa Mahal, Jaipur

Hawa Mahal is a sample of the perfection of the architecture. Amer(Amber) Fort, Jaipur

The Amber Fort was built by ‘Raja Shri Maan Singh JI Saheb’ (Maan Singh I) (December 21, 1550 – July 6, 1614) in 16th century. Man Singh, one of the first war chiefs or the trusted general of the Emperor Akbar. Akbar included him among the ‘Navaratnas’, or the 9 (nava) gems (ratna) of the royal court. Man Singh began the construction of a fortress-palace of white and red sandstone i.e. Amber Fort in 1592. He was the Kacchwaha (Rajput) of King of Amber, a state later known as Jaipur. Nearby he ordered to set a small temple devoted to ‘Sheela Mata’, his patron goddess.

City Palace, Jaipur
