things have been between them, she killed him for money, did you not. (She gave a dead stare

to Dianne) As the only known partner, with no family of his own you would get all his money
               wouldn’t you?

Dianne: Kill him? I loved him, you cow.
Marple: Loved him? I know what you are, I’ve heard you guys fighting. You are a cheater, a

               cheater and now a murderer.

Sullivan: That’s enough lady. (Sullivan got up angrily and spoke in anguish) You are way out
of your limits now. (He calmed his voice into a more gentlemanlike voice realising he is a

stranger to the room and should not be speaking in such a fashion)
Moriarty: Thank you Mr Sullivan. Ladies, please seat yourselves. I am the one to decide who

the culprit is. Can I now?

Moriarty: Thank you. So, let’s begin the questioning. Mrs Marple, is it true you have a buyer
for this place? I noticed the only occupied room here is this one, which is kind of strange for

               an apartment in this area.
Marple: I do, I have been planning to sell the place for a while now. It’s become too difficult

to manage alone. That too at this age. I found a seller and have been vacating all the rooms,
               except this one.

               Moriarty: Gives you a motive.

Marple: Are you seriously suspecting me Inspector? I cannot kill a fly, let alone a person.
Moriarty: I suspect everyone. Now, why would a person of the wealth and status of Mr Choke

not vacate his room and be behind on rent.
Dianne: He was going to. He was deliberately not paying the rent, so that she could not throw

him out. He said he did not want things to change while he was working on this new case of

               his.
               Sullivan: That would be me. I appointed Mr Choke for my divorce. I had heard a lot about him;

however, he was not the right man for the job. He complicated my case and it’s being delayed
               at every hearing.

Dianne got shocked and gasped. She looked at Sullivan with a look of anguish.

Toomes: That’s strange, I have heard his name before. He is a top-notch lawyer. Never lost a
               case, a clean record.

Sullivan: Well, I am not sure that record is to stay for long. The man had been deliberately
bending facts and had made my case weak in the court. I called last week to let him know that

I have appointed a new lawyer but could not reach him, the landlady picked instead.
