Moriarty: Interesting, interesting. Very interesting. Mrs Marple here tells me you were really
pissed off when you called. What was it that he said on the phone exactly? (He turns and looks
at Mrs Marple)
Mrs Marple: (Scaredly, looks away from Sullivan and speaks while looking at the ground)
Ahh–I–Ughh.
Toomes: There’s no need to be afraid madam. Your word is important for this case.
Mrs Marple: “I’ll kill you bastard; you screwed my life over”. That’s what he shouted before I
could answer.
Sullivan: I surely did not. I mean I did say that but I did not kill him, I swear. It’s after the last
hearing at the court. He purposely hid some facts in front of the jury and almost lost me the
case. I was drunk, the thought of living with that woman got to me and I called him. But, I am
no killer, you’ve to trust me on that. (Sullivan breaks down and a tear rolls down his right eye)
Dianne shifts towards Sullivan and puts her arm around his shoulder.
Dianne: It’s alright Geoff. No one’s accusing anyone of murder here. (She continues to rub his
shoulder and comfort him)

Moriarty walks around the room. He looks at the body and crouches next to the torso. He
touches the belly of the body. And looks at his wet fingers.
Moriarty: Why is the man drenched in sweat? The room is pretty cool and he is dry around his
neck and underarms, which would be the first places to sweat. Toomes would run a quick check
on his shirt.
Toomes comes near the body and crouches. He touches the body and puts his hand into his
backpack. Moriarty gets up. Toomes takes some samples with him and leaves.
Moriarty: Do you two know each other? (He points at Dianne and then at Sullivan)
Dianne: Not that I know of, this is my first time meeting him.
Sullivan: Likewise. I had no idea Frank was your husband. (He looks into Dianne’s eyes and
has a look of grief in his eyes)
Moriarty: Very well then. Although there is one more question which has been troubling me
from the moment I got into the room.
Marple: What is it, Inspector?
Moriarty: The Weapon! If this is a locked room murder then the murder weapon should be still
inside the room. The only thing remotely close to a dagger which might have been used to stab
